In 1995 Mr. DeRogatis returned to New York to accept a special career opportunity that presented itself at the JFK International Airport. Soon there after, Anthony was retained in a senior executive capacity to conclude and finalize the Continental Global Gateway Project at Newark International Airport in New Jersey. Different circumstances prevailed on this project, as the original construction manager abandoned the project with 6 weeks left to obtain a certificate of occupancy. As a result of a clear and decisive plan of attack, Mr. DeRogatis was able to successfully conclude the project within the scheduled allotted time and was also responsible for closing out approximately 125 subcontractors. Continental Airlines was spared the costly penalties and fines that would have occurred if the date was missed. On the management side of the project, Anthony was responsible for trimming over 100 million dollars off the anticipated cost making it an extremely successful project for Continental Airlines. Anthony was then re-assigned to Chicago, Ill to perform in an executive capacity in the completion of (2) 50 story, 250 unit residential towers in the heart of the city. Both projects were completed on time, even though severely behind schedule prior to Anthony taking over. The overrun in trade costs that were impacting the budget, were identified and through negotiations with the Owner and Subcontractors Anthony was able to successfully recover a great percentage of real cost as well as anticipated cost overruns to make for another successful project under his direction. Currently Anthony owns and operates his own consulting construction company and provides a range of pre construction, construction and post construction services geared to satisfy developers, construction managers, general contractors, Architects and Engineers.
